Emergency First Aid At Work Course (EFAW)

What is Emergency First Aid at Work?

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a 1-day course designed to give people the confidence and ability to deal with real-life emergencies in the workplace.

This isn’t about memorising steps.

It’s about being able to:

  • recognise when something is seriously wrong

  • stay calm under pressure

  • take control of a situation until help arrives

The course is typically suitable for low-risk environments, but the skills taught are relevant in any setting where something unexpected could happen.

What the course feels like

From the start, the focus is on practical skills.

As the day progresses, you’ll:

  • practise CPR and AED use

  • manage unresponsive casualties

  • deal with choking, bleeding and shock

It’s supportive, but it’s also designed to build confidence under pressure.
