Our open FREC 3 course in East London runs from 15th to 19th September 2025 and provides the recognised foundation for anyone working in pre-hospital care. It's ideal for event medics, close protection officers, fire and security personnel, or anyone looking to step into a responder role.
The course is delivered by two experienced frontline clinicians and focuses on practical, scenario-based learning. You’ll cover trauma care, medical emergencies, airway management, patient assessment, and BLS, with plenty of hands-on practice using realistic kit and simulations.
The updated FREC 3 qualification now includes one multiple-choice exam and one anatomy and physiology paper. All other assessments are practical and ongoing. Optional modules—such as supraglottic airways, Entonox, blood glucose monitoring, Penthrox, and naloxone—are available where clinical governance and operational need can be evidenced.
Requalification is required every three years. Learners who can show regular BLS updates are eligible for a 2-day requal; otherwise, it remains a 3-day course. We’ll advise on eligibility and help you choose the right option when booking.
