This FREC 3 course has been developed in partnership with King Safety & Security (KSS) and is tailored specifically for close protection operatives and security professionals working in higher-risk environments.
The course is delivered by the clinical team at NR Medical Training, bringing real-world pre-hospital experience into a setting that reflects the demands of protective operations.
Training is scenario-based, using realistic equipment and casualty simulations relevant to the security industry. The focus is on practical decision-making, rapid intervention, and managing medical incidents where you may be the first and only responder.
You’ll cover the primary survey, patient assessment and vital signs, catastrophic bleeding, airway management and oxygen therapy, medical emergencies, AED use and BLS, along with communication, documentation, and effective handover.
FREC 3 is widely recognised as the benchmark qualification for those working in close protection and is the natural progression route for anyone looking to move on to FREC 4.
