This comprehensive course equips you with the confidence to handle paediatric emergencies, covering vital skills like child and infant CPR, proper use of AEDs on children, and managing common childhood injuries and illnesses.
Course Content:
Roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
Assessing an emergency situation safely with a focus on paediatric considerations
Conducting a primary survey on an infant and child casualty
Administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for infants and children
Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on children
Providing first aid for a range of common childhood injuries and illnesses, such as choking, bleeding, shock, and minor injuries
Managing specific paediatric conditions like febrile convulsions and asthma
Certification: Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate, valid for three years, recognising their competence in paediatric emergency first aid.
